Four things about this valley show up in our call log every year. Cold snaps finish off springs that were already near their cycle count, which is why the phone rings all week when it drops below freezing. Temperature swings of forty degrees in a day expand and contract steel sections, loosening every bolt on an uninsulated door.
Dust and grit off the west side and the summer inversion settle into tracks and roller bearings, and dry rollers wear tracks fast. And the valley's split housing stock means two completely different jobs: older homes still on original hardware, and newer HOA-heavy builds where everything was specified to a builder's budget.

Frequently Asked Questions About Garage Door Repair
How much does garage door repair cost?
What we can tell you now is how the number is built: the part, the labour, and whether the failure damaged anything downstream. You get that breakdown before we start, not after.
How long does a repair take?
Most repairs are one visit, roughly one to two hours including the inspection and the balance and safety tests. Track damage and panel replacement can run longer, and we will say so on the phone rather than surprising you in the driveway.
Can you fix it the same day?
Often, yes — and broken springs and off-track doors get moved up because the door is unusable and the car is usually stuck inside. Call (801) 269-1940 and we will give you a straight answer about when a truck can reach you. [Same-day and after-hours scope: confirm with client.]
Is a door with a broken spring safe to use?
No. The spring carries the weight of the door; with it broken, that load transfers to the cables and the opener. Do not run the opener, do not force the door up, and do not park under it. Call and we will talk you through making it safe.
Do you warranty your repairs?
Independent of the paperwork, the standing promise is the one the shop has always run on: if it is not right, you call the same number and we come back and make it right.
Do you work on any brand?
Yes. Sectional doors from any manufacturer and the common opener brands are all normal work for us, including doors we did not install.
